I’m doing tons of yard work and cleaning. There’s always something to clean. The boy has been gone a week now and I’m missing him terribly. I think the pups miss him, too. They stare longingly at the front door just waiting for their daddy to walk through, football in hand. My little sister is spending the weekend at my new house. She’s standing over my shoulder, “are you done YET?” So I guess this means I’m done.

He’s in San Fran for a couple of conferences. The puppy family (me and the two pups) are doing okay. We are getting kind of hungry though because we DON’T cook! Frozen pizzas only take you so far, know what I mean? Anyhoo – I STILL haven’t unpacked my camera yet so I don’t have pics of the finished house yet. Here’s a pic of my cute pups relaxing before momma leaves for work.

I’m usually the first one to remind every single person in my universe that it’s MY birthday coming up, starting in January, but for some reason this year, it just doesn’t seem to matter as much. I still have two meetings tomorrow, I still have laundry to do, and the dogs still need to be fed, played with, etc. Tomorrow is just another day this year and it’s actually a good feeling. I’ve devoted about a million man hours (a slight exaggeration) into our new house. Every day, I’m finding something new to clean or fix or unpack. It’s starting to feel like home and I’m very happy.

Time to curl up next to the babies and the boy on fresh clean sheets (washed and dried in my very own washer and dryer)! Good night, everyone!
