I tell ya, it takes a lot to look good. I’m not talking about money and special make-up and a team of hair stylists. I mean, everyday got-to-do-it gettin’ ready for work styles take a LOT out of a girl! I’m currently using (yes, I’m admitting on the internet) Proactive, which is a three step process. Not one step, THREE. That alone takes over five minutes. Throw in the eyebrow shaving & tweezing, Crest White Stripes (admitting that too), 15 minutes blow drying, another 10 minutes curling, I’ve used up a whole hour already! Then, there’s picking out the outfit, feeding the dogs, administering Jack’s medication, checking two email accounts AND my farm in farmville, it’s no wonder I have to wake up at 6:30 to be at work by 9:00 AM.
I fondly remember those days back in high school when I would snooze until the last possible moment, throw on wrinkled and most likely, smelly clothes, and sleep on the bus all the way to school. My hair was long so it ALWAYS went in a pigtail.
Turning 24 a month ago has made me realize, though, how much I LIKE being a girl. I use to hate it because I never felt “pretty” enough. But you know what, all you have to be is pretty enough for yourself and screw what others think! I love my little bob haircut, neatly trimmed eyebrows, and slightly improving acne scarred face are beautiful.
Now, don’t even get me started on dishes and laundry…
Love,
A very busy frazzled girl
